Solution:
On Windows XP and prior do:
Click Start | Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Scheduled Tasks.
On Window Vista do:
Click Start | Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Task Scheduler
You should then see a task named "WBid 3.1 Updates".
RIGHT-click the task and select Delete to remove the Update, or select Properties to modify the Update schedule.

Help | Check for Maintenance Updates
